Studies at IIT Delhi always dreamed of inventing an alternative fuel for
vehicles that emitted water instead of harmful gases. After 25 years of
nurturing that dream he has finally made it a reality. He has replaced
petrol and diesel with hydrogen.
8. Raees Mehmood Makrani of Madhya Pradesh has come up with an extraordinary innovation — an
indigenous fuel that runs cars, instead of petrol or diesel. This fuel
is produced by mixing calcium carbide and water.
